AMC+ is an American subscription video on demand streaming service owned by AMC Networks that was launched on June 11, 2020. The service is a premium bundle that includes the live feeds and program libraries of the company's television networks which include BBC America, IFC, AMC,and Sundance TV as well as the VOD streaming services Acorn TV, Shudder and Sundance Now and streaming brands along with its own exclusive content.[1]

In March 2019, some time before the streaming service was unveiled, it was reported that a new series set in the Orphan Black universe was in early development stages at AMC, to be produced by Temple Street Productions. Former BBC America executive director Courtney Thomasma was named general manager of AMC+ on April 8, 2021.[2] In February 2022, it was announced that Anna Fishko would be the writer of the show.[3] By April 2022, the series was greenlit and titled Orphan Black: Echoes.[4] The series premiered in June 2024 on AMC, AMC+ and BBC America.[5]
