—Dr. Nealon to Delphine[src]

Dr. Alan Nealon is a doctor/surgeon and geneticist working for Neolution. He is sent to infiltrate the Dyad Institute, where he is in charge of Cosima's, and later Rachel's, recovery.

Biography[]

Season 1[]

Though he is not actually seen, it is Dr. Nealon that has examined Sarah (while she was impersonating Beth) in her sleep.

Season 2[]

Dr. Nealon debuts in the season 2 finale, "By Means Which Have Never Yet Been Tried". He gets Sarah to sign her consent on medical procedures/practices in the future. Not fully reading the consent form, Sarah signs hastily while wishing to be taken to Kira immediately. Later in the episode, he is seen prepping for surgery as he informs Sarah that she is about to have an oophorectomy.

Season 3[]

Dr. Nealon is not heavily featured in the beginning of the season, only providing as a minor role alongside Delphine Cormier in a few episodes, until he and Delphine are deeply involved in Rachel's plan to escape the Dyad Institute.

Dr. Nealon orchestrates the escape of Rachel Duncan from Dyad and sends her to a Neolutionist stronghold to have her undergo surgery to receive a prosthetic eye. To keep the farce alive and prevent Delphine from finding out about his betrayal and Racehl's escape, he abducts and numbs Krystal Goderitch, dressing her to look like Rachel.

In "History Yet to Be Written", Delphine finally finds out about Rachel's escape and Dr. Nealon's part in this. She interrogates him and Dr. Nealon reveals that he was sent by Neolution. After Delphine refuses his offer to join the Neolutionists, he ambushes her and attempts to spit a deadly worm into her mouth that appears to have originated from his body. Before the worm can reach Delphine, however, Delphine manages to shoot and kill him. With his last breath, he tells Delphine that she will not live by morning and finally dies.

Trivia[]

  • Nealon's DYAD Institute employment record shows his ID tag as 1924-2763-N.[1]
