Summary[]

Plot[]
In 2009, a 16 year old Eleanor Miller, arrives home and sees water spilling from the bathroom and coated in blood. She opens the door, sees her dad’s clothes laying on a nearby chair. She sees a knife laying on the floor, and covered in blood, and despite some apprehension, Eleanor moves the shower curtain. To her horror, her father lays in the bathtub dead. She steps back, and unintentionally, she steps on some blood on the floor. Her white socks get stained with blood. She steps outside the bathroom, and is about to dial 911, but instead, chooses to play some music on her iPhone.
In the present, Jules calls Lucy to get her attention and asks her what they should do, now that Craig is lying on the floor bleeding. Lucy realizes Craig is losing a lot of blood, and wants to call an ambulance, but the older man doesn’t want that. Meanwhile, Xander realizes what he has done, but sees the concoction that Jules created and along with Darros’ security key, he swipes them both. He runs out the door, but Jules chases after him.
Outside, Xander doesn’t get far, and Jules is able to retrieve the security key from him. She also notices he used up the entire bottle of the drug she concocted. Jules calls him an idiot and tries to walk away. However, Xander pleads for Jules to help him. As a result, Jules calls Printed-out Eleanor, who tells her to stay where she is at, and that she will be there as soon as possible.
Inside Settlement House, Lucy wraps some cloth like a makeshift tourniquet to help stop the bleeding. Lucy really wants to call the ambulance, but Craig refuses saying that the presence of the cops that would inevitably come would just cause unnecessary trouble because at least half of the people that live in Settlement House are ex-cons. Lucy relents in taking Craig to the hospital, but not before she texts Jack to let him know what happened, and asks him for his help.
At Tina’s house, Jack asks what Charlie is still doing up to, and that she should go to bed. But rather than listen to her dad, Charlie signs to him to ask how Lucy will run away with them, if she didn’t go to the biometrics appointment they had with the lady that gave them the fake passports. Jack signs back that they will figure something out. Just as Charlie is heading to bed, her dad gets Lucy’s text. Jack signs in ASL to her that it seems like Lucy needs his help. Charlie wonders if he will help Lucy. Jack admits that he doesn’t know since at the end of the day, it is his job to take care of Charlie first. Charlie for her part tells him that she doesn’t want Lucy to leave them like her mom did. In addition, Charlie urges Jack to go help Lucy.
At Kira’s house, Jules informs Lucy that she is with Kira and Eleanor and that she got the security token back. She also asks her if Craig is okay. As it turns out, they have Xander sleeping off the side effects of the drug Jules created. Kira admits that she doesn’t like having him here because he shot someone. Jules admits that it wasn’t entirely intentional. But Kira for her part wonders if Xander is here with them as a spy for Darros. Jules points out that while she doesn’t necessarily like Xander, he is not someone that is a danger to them. Afterwards, as Eleanor is catching Kira up on what they learned about the security token thanks to PJ, Kira also brings up that she saw on Josh’s laptop that there was an important even happening soon. Jules hopes that they retrieve whatever secrets Darros is hiding, and expose them, but Delphine makes her presence known, and tells Jules that unfortunately it is never that easy.
At his apartment, Tom is playing some loud, club music as he drinks and looks at his evidence board. He then goes onto his laptop, and gets some information on Jack.
Back at Kira’s house, Delphine admits that Felix called her to inform her that their niece had unleashed some terrible technology onto the world. Jules asks Delphine how she is connected to all of this, and the older woman tells the teenage girl that she is Cosima’s wife. Who, as it is explained to Jules, is Sarah's sister. Eleanor further clarifies that both Sarah and Cosima are clones. Jules is surprised as she thought that if they were alive they would be like 110 years old. But Delphine points out that they are all in their 60’s now. They are then interrupted by Xander yelling from upstairs. Eleanor mentions that he is probably having a nightmare, and Jules hopes it is a bad one. Eventually, the women get back to talking; Delphine points out that neither the boy, the printer, or the security key are exactly legal or cheap. She further explains that from her experience, the best place to look when it comes to powerful rich people, is the first place they don’t want you to look. Kira does bring up how Darros' company finances aren’t exactly an open book. But Jules brings up how her mom might be able to help with that.
At Settlement House, Lucy asks Craig what the real reason he doesn’t want to go to the hospital is. He tells Lucy that in his youth, he was quite the radical and was pissed at the fact the rich kept getting richer. So one day, he and some of his buddies decided they would take down the man to send a message to Big Pharma, by setting fire to a corporate office. They had planned to do it when it was empty. Unfortunately, there was someone there. Craig further explains how when all of this went down, he was the getaway driver, and while he didn’t see the person dying, he didn’t stick around to be arrested. So ever since, there has been a warrant for his arrest.
At Tom’s apartment, he is gushing about Céline Dion, and how her hologram felt so life-like and that the tickets to one of her concerts can be theirs if he can get the contact information at the DOD.
Meanwhile, Delphine and Kira get to talking some more, this time one on one, and her aunt tries to make her feel better by telling her about her own experience with working for Aldous Leekie despite the moral implications that came with that. Delphine then points out that Darros may seem unstoppable now, but everyone has a weak spot, and they just need to figure out what his is. The two women are interrupted by a knock on the car window, which turns out to be Neva Lee. The two of them talk with Neva, who asks how Jule is doing. Kira tells Neva that Jules is a survivor and is handling everything better than most. Neva admits how she wishes that she could have done more to protect her.
As the three women are walking to the basement, Neva explains that in order for Darros' information to not be hacked, the most important documents are stored in paper. She tries to get in, but isn’t able to. Neva admits that she had not been back here since Darros took Jules, and surmises that he must have locked her out. Luckily, Emmanuel, a coworker of Neva, opens the door and explains that new protocols dictate that there should be someone guarding the information at all times. At first, he is not immediately letting Neva, Delphine and Kira in, because he wants to follow the rules, but Delphine concocts a story about how they need to access the trust fund for their child who is a gambling addict, and they need to access his trust fund before midnight, when it legally becomes his. Convinced, he lets them in.
At Kira’s house, Jules admits that even though it sounds cheesy, now that she has met both Lucy and Eleanor she feels like she belongs somewhere. Touched, Eleanor hugs Jules.
Back at Settlement House, Craig tries to convince Lucy to leave him behind, by pointing out that she has more important things to worry about then him. But Lucy refuses to do so, saying she does not want to leave anyone behind. Craig points out that in cases of suicide, the person that finds the body of the person who killed themselves takes on the guilt of not being there to stop it. He comforts her that no one is perfect, and that some people have done things they are not proud of, and have let loved ones down. What ultimately matters is what they do with their present.
Eventually, Delphine finds some articles of incorporation for an anonymous LLC which was one single real estate investment. However, the sketchy part is that there is no income and no dividends attached to it, and the only loss is the depreciation of the land. It turns out that the investment was a total of $44 billion. The two women find the address for this property, which is somewhere on the coast line. However, that is as much as Delphine can help her, so Kira will have to go investigate on her own, as she has to get back to Cosima.
At Settlement House, Jack arrives to help Craig, and Lucy thanks him for coming, but he coldly tells her that he didn’t do it for her. Which takes Lucy by surprise. Once it’s the two of them, Jack takes a look at Craig’s wound, which is worse than he was letting on to Lucy.
Meanwhile, Kira arrives at the location that Darros spent an egregious amount of money onto and begins to look around.
At Settlement House, Jack is trying to stop Craig’s bleeding, who tells him that twenty years ago, he participated in a trial for a printed liver, after he wasted the first one away due to alcohol. Jack urges Craig to go to a hospital, as all signs point to Craig going into shock. It turns out that when Xander accidentally shot him, it nicked a big vein that just won’t stop bleeding. Craig decides that whatever happens, he would rather stay at this place, which he holds dear.
Elsewhere, Kira’s snooping takes her inside the house of the location that the Darros bought, and there she sees that one of the doors has the same symbols appearing as the ones on the security key Jules stole. When Kira takes out the security key, the system inside the rundown house states that the key has been detected. The key then connects with the security system but a timer begins to countdown, and the system lets Kira know that the wrong thought pattern was detected, and that she has two more attempts. She eventually calls Eleanor and Jules to let them know that Darros apparently also has some sort of underwater server farm. Which Jules mentions are used for heavy data storage because the subsurface temperatures keep everything cool. They then tell Kira they are on the way there once they realize that they can use Xander to find out what Darros is hiding.
Jules demands that Xander help them, but Xander is still in shock. He tells Jules that he doesn’t want to be Darros anymore. The drug helped him see something that revealed to him just how horrible of a person Darros truly is.
At Settlement House, Lucy volunteers to provide some blood for Craig, who reveals that she is the closest thing to a family he has, and he is so proud to have witnessed that. Lucy thanks Craig for believing her.
In the nick of time, Eleanor arrives with Jules and Xander, who has agreed to help them out. Xander steps near the machine, and a new memory of his is unlocked.
In the past, a print out of Paul is laying in bed motionless, as Josh tells Darros he doesn’t know what went wrong, but that his skull wasn’t able to fully close. Darros asks if Josh can fix the calibration so this doesn’t happen again, and Josh says he can, but asks what they will do about the print out. He tells Paul that they need to get the print out to a hospital, otherwise he will die. But Darros coldly says that they will be letting nature take its course. Paul then lays next to the younger version of him, as he puts a necklace of a star around the print out’s neck. He then whispers to the print-out that he does not know how hard it is to be the strong one, and the one who survives and then lets him die.
In the present, Xander is able to unlock the machine, but gets a little dizzy. Eleanor and Jules are quick to hold onto him, and Jules asks him what he saw in that memory he unlocked just now. Xander explains how he saw another print out, one Paul let die. Jules then takes Xander outside to get some air, while Eleanor and Kira stay inside. To their surprise, what they have unlocked is a database full of medical records of everyone in the whole country going back decades.
Meanwhile, Tina is asleep next to Charlie, when something wakes her up. She finds Tom inside her home, and so she grabs something heavy nearby to use as a weapon. She uses it to hit him, and then kicks him multiple times. At one point even choking him. He tries to overpower her, but Tina has him in a chokehold. But he manages to grab a syringe full of something, and stabs her on her foot. Tina asks what was in the syringe, but Tom doesn’t tell her. Instead he asks her where Lucy is. Tina asks what he wants with her, and he tells her that Lucy is not human. She is knocked out, and just then Charlies sees what went down.
Elsewhere, Eleanor and Kira find that the last records Darros accessed were 12 full body scans, but the names are encrypted. Thus, Kira decides to print information out. Eleanor points out that they need to figure who the twelve people whose medical files Darros last accessed are.
At Settlement House, Craig’s pulse is going down, and the color is returning to his body, which Jack points out is a good thing. He then gets a call from Tina, after she has woken up, who tells her that someone took Charlie.
