Biography[]
Early Life[]
Ferdinand is the illegitimate son of the 10th Earl of Sussex. He was raised in a rich and affluent environment, but struggled to rise above the stigma of being a bastard child.
In his youth he joined the British Army and moved upwards toward the renowned Special Air Service (The SAS). During his time with the special forces he learned to kill swiftly with efficiency which made him a prime candidate for the Dyad Institute. Joining the institution as an investigator for the "cleaning" team known as Topside, he worked closely with a number of the higher ups of the institution, becoming one himself, and even become the lover of Rachel Duncan.
Over the years as a Topside cleaner, Ferdinand oversaw to the purge of the clones, killing a total of six clones and thirty-two of their friends and family members. This purging included killing Niki Lintula and her family and an attempt on the life of Veera Suominen, which left her scarred but alive.
Season 3[]
At the beginning of the season he meets Delphine and "Rachel" impersonated by Sarah. In a holding room he meets "Sarah" impersonated by Alison (who refers to him as Mr Rubber gloves after he checks her for an oophorectomy scar). Delphine forces him to abort the "Helsinki" operation to terminate all self-aware clones.
Season 4[]
In "The Stigmata of Progress", Ferdinand meets Siobhan Sadler in a park, where she was supposed to meet her asset, Benjamin.
Ferdinand is seen again in "From Instinct to Rational Control", in which he is offering aid to Sarah and Mrs. S in return for rescuing Rachel.
After discovering that Sarah is working with Ferdinand in order to get the Neolutionist implant removed from her jaw, M.K. tracks Ferdinand through Sarah. M.K. sends a text to Ferdinand in Sarah's name telling him to meet her at Beth Childs' old flat. Once he arrives at the flat, he discovers that M.K. has set a trap for him. He learns that she is in fact Veera Suominen, the clone who survived the Helsinki clone purge.
