Neolution was a shadow organization, born from the progressive scientific movement marked by genetic meddling and physical alterations, among other scientific developments, set on curing illnesses, extending life, controlling the human biology, and overall self-directed evolution.
For decades, they have been maneuvering multiple experiments, including cloning through Projects Leda and Castor, the use of gene therapy through various, typically illicit means such as germline editing in embryos, experimental bots, synthesizing and experimenting on the LIN28a gene, and many more. Most of their activities are done in secret, largely because parts of their experiments are unethical and illegal in most countries.
Their operations were all directed and overseen by the founder (or the person who revived the movement based off of eugenicist's publication). They were able to operate and fund their decades-long research through a network of various companies and organizations, with their main front being the Dyad Institute, with an appointed Head at the helm, a so-called Topside, and a board of directors that reports directly to the founder. They also had multiple other connected groups and acquisitions depending on their latest experimental goals, such as Brightborn and BluZone Cosmetics, and have clandestine support even from government entities and some military support.
Neolution was mostly dissolved following the deaths of the founder, head scientists, and most of the board of directors when the group's activities were publicized, as well as when several of the founder's followers and the board of directors discovered his true identity and lost their support.
