Tomas was a religious extremist, one of the Proletheans, who, along with Maggie Chen, found and kidnapped Helena to train her against clones.
Biography[]
History[]
Because Tomas is only a side character, much of how or why he became this way is unknown. At one point, Tomas and Maggie found Helena in a convent in Ukraine and kidnapped her. Since then, they have been influencing her, telling her that she is the original among a set of created clones and training her to kill them, torturing her both mentally and physically in the process.
Season 1[]
Tomas is seen healing Helena's wounds in "Conditions of Existence". After she recovers in "Parts Developed in an Unusual Manner", Tomas sends her back out to kill Sarah Manning.
When she fails to do so, and when Helena decides to let Kira go, Tomas almost beats her and locks her in a cage in "Unconscious Selection". Sarah later finds her after she calls her. Sarah sets Helena free and Tomas lies in wait to hopefully kill her. However, Sarah manages to finally turn Helena against him and to prevent Helena from killing him, Sarah locks him up in his cage instead.
Season 2[]
When Helena is in the hospital recovering from Sarah's gunshot wound, Mark wheels Helena away and brings her to the Prolethean convent. In "Governed by Sound Reason and True Religion", Mark kills Tomas under Henrik Johanssen's orders.
Season 5[]
When Helena is in labor, she has flashbacks to her time in the convent, where she was locked in a closet once. Tomas came for her that day, and began to brainwash her into murdering the clones (without telling her that she was one too). After her discovery of the first clone, he assured her that she was the original.
Personality[]
Tomas is seemingly a psychopathic fanatic, strange and violent. He seems to truly believe in their cause and is willing to do what he thinks must be done to achieve their goals, even if it involves kidnapping children and killing the clones, whom they see as abominations.
In comparison to Henrik, Tomas is truly one of the more conservative people, and seemingly tried to handle Helena secretly.
