She is the very first Boston Clone that the reader meets in the audio series of Orphan Black, created by Serial Box and narrated by Tatiana Maslany herself.
Vivienne (Vivi) Valdez is the adopted daughter of Cuban immigrants and CIA agent. Vivi’s parents are dead—in the line of duty, and she had no other close family. She is an unaware clone. Vivi grew up with this sense that there were other girls who looked like her, and she thought they were imaginary friends. There’s this narrative that she sort of has repurposed in her head to be like, ‘Oh, those are imaginary friends that I was seeing.’ Her psychiatrist and her parents forced that idea on her. So when she first starts to see adult women that look like her, and Charlotte, and all of these other people, it puts that story of her childhood in stark contrast with what the truth is and she has to reevaluate it. Not only is she investigating this massive explosion that happened, she’s also picking through the part of her own identity and her own life story.
Season 1[]
Vivi Valdez first appears in the series doing "low-key surveillance." She was sent to Ontario by the CIA in the USA to investigate a company The Genetic Research Institute of Toronto. (GRIT). It was during that surveillance that she came to see Dr. Cosima Niehaus, recently finished her doctorate and looking for a better job. Dr, Nathaniel Sturgis, Director of Research, conducted the interview.
She reports to handler Arun Sanghera, who also is her "monitor" in a sense without her even knowing. He is aware of a lot of the Clone activities and that she is a clone. Arun was given the assignment by another agency that was looking to get eyes on GRIT.
“There was a biological incident in Boston last week. Some people with links to the agency got sick; so far, no fatalities—”
Vivi was stunned. “They carried out an attack in the States? On agents?” Not okay. Not on her watch.

Arun Sengura is deeply committed to the safety of the Boston clones due to the fact that Vivi is a long lost Boston Clone who until recent events was unaware after being manipulated into forgetting about her upbringing with the other Boston Clones until she was 6 years old. She begins to rethink her whole life and where she would be in life if was not a clone, or if she was able to be raised different and not made to feel crazy.
While Arun tries to find Vivi without the Goverment knowing, as they are likely on watch for her since shes been exposed as a clone, he is trying to save the remaining Boston Clones.
He has teamed up with Alison and Charlotte, trying to heal the clones from the Clone Virus designed by Sturgis in GRIT to prevent any other clone getting it including Vivi. without getting it herself.
On top of that the DYAD Clone project was exposed to the world so the 274 clones were unveiled to the world, including those within the Clone Club causing chaos throughout the media and the world itself.
Personality[]
She appears to be very stubborn and goal oriented. Cosima actually equates her to Rachel at one point later in Season 1. Vivi takes pride in her job and does whatever she needs to in order to get the job done and to the best of her abilities.
She has a funny side, but she hides it well. She is very serious most of the time.

She is a younger version of the LEDA Clones. She is approximately 29 years old, being born in 1993. She is identical otherwise to the LEDA Clones. She has dyed red longer hair and a deformed nose from having broken it when she was younger.
